ITC Institutes Significant Investigation of LED Products

On June 20, 2019, the International Trade Commission announced that it has launched an investigation into patent infringement and false advertising claims brought by Noroozi PC's client, Lighting Science Group Corporation. One of the pioneers of the massive LED lighting space, Lighting Science Group holds a portfolio of more than four hundred patents. Seven of those patents have been asserted in the investigation, which was brought against LED package manufacturers Nichia, Osram, Lumileds, Cree, and MLS, as well as luminaire makers Acuity, GE, Signify, Current, Ledvance (a subsidiary of MLS), and Leedarson.
